Aspire Resources Inc. is looking for an operational analyst to help safeguard the organization by ensuring the necessary measures are in place to help mitigate operational risks identified in the risk register as well as day-to-day risks in the loan servicing and loan originations groups. This role will also support the change management team by creating and modifying necessary control reports and quality assurance components that correspond to each new or updated process, procedure or change that is implemented.

Job Responsibilities
The qualified candidate will:
- Design and modify control reporting to mitigate risks identified in the operations risk register. This includes both preventative and detective controls across multiple operational areas.
- Review operational processes and procedures to identify control reporting deficiencies.
- Map policy/regulations and operational risks to mitigation measures and control reports either already in place or still needed.
- Oversee the implementation of new controls and monitor the effectiveness of existing controls on an ongoing basis.
- Support the change management team as they assess proposed changes by providing insights into controls for the identified change.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of operational policies and procedures to ensure they adequately reflect control requirements.
- Assist in conducting post-implementation reviews to evaluate the success of change initiatives.
- Help conduct root-cause analysis of issues found through QA, customer-reported errors and other issues not found through control reports to determine if control reporting could be added.
- Work collaboratively with other change analysts and operational analysts to clearly understand responsibilities and desired outcomes as some items will overlap with work they have initiated.
- Develop a thorough understanding of all processes, procedures and systems used by the call center, account services and loan originations.
- Participate in ongoing discussions of strategies and initiatives to improve department controls.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Competencies
The qualified candidate should:
- Have a strong analytical mind to quickly evaluate information from multiple sources, reconcile conflicting information and translate high-level information into detail.
- Be able to think creatively to effectively and efficiently identify requirements to solve complex problems.
- Be able to create control reports from data in Microsoft SQL and Postgres databases using SAS.
- Have a proven track record of mitigating risk with automated and manual control reports.
- Be able to express ideas clearly and accurately via written and verbal communication as appropriate for target audiences.
- Be self-motivated, able to work independently and able to meet deadlines.
- Be dependable, detail-oriented and professional, with a strong work ethic.
Qualifications
The qualified candidate will have:
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of education and work experience.
- Proficiency in SAS. Experience isn SQL a plus.
- Experience in operational analysis, business analysis or a similar role.
- Experience with process mapping and improvement methodologies.
Physical Activities/Working Conditions
The position requires the employee to:
- Sit full-time.
- Use office equipment including personal computer, keyboard and mouse.
- Interact frequently with others in person, over the phone, through video conferencing, and via email and other devices.
- Work a hybrid schedule with one to two days per week in the company office in West Des Moines, Iowa.
- Occasionally work variable hours.
